Biomedical Science
A growing awareness of how the different levels of life interact has brought together the disciplines of biology and medicine and added to our understanding of how these interactions affect health and disease. Students who complete the Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Biomedical Science will appreciate that the many levels and approaches to health and medicine are complementary and will be able to apply these principles to assess and solve problems as they relate to real-world health issues. Community Placements will provide students with opportunities for practical experience in a medical or health-care related setting, preparing graduates for successful careers in biomedical or applied health research, teaching, degree programs in medicine, or in the allied health profession.
